About Luke Jeagal
Luke is a cross-border corporate and commercial lawyer with extensive experience advising startups and investment funds. Prior to law, he was in venture capital investment at the pre-seed stage and in clinical health research.
Luke focuses his practice on corporate and commercial transactions, investment funds, and corporate governance.
He counsels companies and investors of all sizes, including private and public companies, across a range of industries, including technology, artificial intelligence, digital assets, and life sciences.
Before joining Mintz, Luke was an investor at a Canada-wide pre-seed venture capital fund. He also reviewed international investment treaties and advised on bilateral trade agreement negotiations at Global Affairs Canada’s Trade Law Bureau.
Prior to his legal career, Luke conducted clinical research in thoracic surgery and respirology at Toronto General Hospital and the McGill University Health Centre, and published in a number of high-impact medical journals.
