I started my data science career working in medical imaging when classical machine learning was the only option. Over the years I have had to continuously re-educate to keep up with the incredible pace of change. Most of my DS work was related to cancer with a significant focus on pathology and mammography. I am a patented inventor in both of these fields.

Almost all of my roles have combined my technical knowledge and product development. I have worked in many start-ups - some as small as just a couple of founders. My most recent roles include being a product manager responsible for delivering products to Pharma and life sciences that are ML enabled (e.g. next best action for sales reps), or data products (e.g. infectious disease data and insights), or agentic AI solutions.

I have been told that I am particularly good at breaking down problems, assessing a situation pragmatically to find solid solutions, and communicating the end result to non-technical people.
